Foods I want to eat

  Well, if you have visited my blog, you will know I'm stuck in KLMA for my whole summer vacation. for a 15 year old teenage girl, summer vacation is the time for me to sleep, eat and play. How would I feel if I can't do all of these! That's why this post is all about food I want to eat. Just by writing and looking at the pictures makes me really hungry. I can just taste everything in my imagination. Also, my parents will buy me everything I want to eat after the camp. I am seriously desperate for her to keep her word. I love you, mom <3 (and dad) I'm hoping to see them as soon as I can.
 
  When our test period had ended, I went to a small cafe in town. With my friends, I ate Patbingsu. Because I am stuck here for a month, it really makes me want a Patbingsu. i can just imagine all the material you need to make a delicious Patbingsu: sweet vanilla ice ream (or chocolate), extra sweet condensed milk, sticky rice cakes, a tower of red beans, colorful jellies, sugary chocolate syrup, crispy ice made out of milk, green kiwis, shinning cherries, and bananas. Just mentioning the materials is making me get hungry. i can imagine even the taste and appearance. What torture! I want the cafeteria to give at least ice cream. It's so hot walking up and down between classes; you need some kind of treat to serve the students. Anyway, all I want to hear is the "Oooohhhhh" sound from the ice breaking machine. I miss the small cafe in my town.
  
  All the things I want because I'm stuck here are all foods. My next food is tomato sauce spaghetti. Well, spaghetti has always been one of my favorite foods. Even though, we had spaghetti for dinner today, I really want it. I want a spaghetti from a restaurant. I'm desperate for it. You can't call spaghetti, "spaghetti" if you don't have cheese, meatballs and herbs. I like the heat that comes out when you get your food. It makes me feel victorious. Also, i like the smell of meat. That definitely makes me feel hungry even when I'm full. There is my favorite spaghetti restaurant in my town called E.A.T. My favorite menu is spaghetti with brown sauce and Korean beef. I fell in love with it when I first tried it. I hope my parents buy me that spaghetti.

  In Korea, majority of Koreans pick ramyeon or dduk-bok-yi as their favorite midnight snack. Ra-bok-yi is something combining the two together (as you can see in the picture). There is a reason why Koreans love ramyeon and dduk- bok-yi so much, which is because of their taste. Ramyeon itself tastes heavenly. That spicy broth tastes amazing, and cold rice mixed with the ramyeon is even more amazing. I am just thankful Backus they made such excellent food. Also, dduk-bok-yi makes you feel attracted by the taste. Cooks or moms put some starch syrup which makes the whole thing taste sweetish. Even though you add a lot of hot pepper paste in it, all the starch syrup makes everything taste sweetish. Can you imagine all of these flavors mixed? i bet it's the best flavor ever! Just by looking at it, your stomach will growl.

  Everybody in this world know that Korea is a well-developed country for delivery foods. There are Chinese food restaurant ad Chicken delivery restaurants that work for 24 hours. Koreans love chicken, especially me! I love the crispy crumbs. I love the hot feeling when I hold it. The best thing is the barbecue taste it has. When you have one bite, I bet you won't be able to stop eating. pure meat tastes just salty enough for everybody to enjoy. After eating all of the pure meat, you will search for the meat sticking to the bones. Even that meat tastes good. Fried chicken is crispy and spiced chicken is heavenly. I feel like I haven't had chicken for months. But the truth is I had some last week or whenever.

  Hanwoo is Korea's national beef. Gangwon-do Hoengseong-gun is really famous for tasty Hanwoo. Every time my parents come, they took me to the restaurant right next to KLMA. There are so many people. There I met my roommates and other students. Because Hanwoo is so expensive, it's like the world's best food. When you put the meat onto the grill, you have to listen to the sound it makes. That sound will make you feel victorious. You are eating Hanwoo! How good it feels... Also, when you put it in your mouth, the juice from the Hanwoo comes out and fill your mouth with it. It's so great you can't put it in words. But last time I ate Hanwoo, it felt a little bit greasy. I think that's not because of the Hanwoo, I ate too much Hanwoo so my stomach wasn't able to take everything.

  I think all of my favorite foods are made out of flour. My dad said flour isn't good for me. But I love it anyway. One of my favorite foods is kalguksu. In Kalguksu,there are a lot of vegetables, and the broth is delicious. You can have a piece of kimchi with every chopstick of Kalguksu. That is amazing! Kalguksu's taste is so awesome, I want it even when I'm tasting it. You know Kkakdugi? It's a kind of kimchi shaped square. This tastes spicy,cool and crunchy. Kkakdugi goes perfectly with with Kalguksu. I like it when the noodles are slipping from my chopsticks. It's kind of annoying because i can't eat it. But it feels like it's going to taste good. Also, I like it when the broth gets red because of the Kkakdugi. You might feel lazy due to all the food that's inside your stomach, so that will make you more comfortable. I love Kalguksu.

  As I mentioned in picture 4, Korea is well-known for all its delivery foods. Another example is pizza. And pizza is also one of my favorite foods. I haven't eaten pizza for months. This is serious. I feel like I'm forgetting the taste of pizza. When someone says pizza, I can think of those red oily pepperoni, black olives,juicy tomatoes and extensible cheese. All of those materials go with other materials so well, it makes the pizza melt in my mouth. Also, when I hold a piece of pizza, I like the hot air and heat that comes out of the pizza. It makes my hand feel so warm. I want to keep holding it. This whole taste makes me heavenly. My mom said that she'll buy me delicious food when I go back home. If I eat all of these foods, I'll get fatter. I need to go on a diet.
  All of these pictures are making me feel satisfied. I think I need to believe my parents. The food I talked about is in my list of delicious foods. Obviously, I won't write about it if I don't like it. Patbingsu, spaghetti, Ra-bok-yi, chicken, Hanwoo, Kalguksu, and pizza.... Everything made out of flour has some sort of material that will make me fat. I will work on my diet forever and eat everything I want. I live to eat, not eat to live. Lastly, I love you, mom and dad. I hope to see you soon. They will know what I want by looking at this post. Just by thinking about the foods, I feel satisfied.

Dear Teachers

Dear teachers, 

  I am writing this letter because I believe that we should have more time with lights on. Many experts, for example Doctor Kim, agrees with me. I will explain my reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.

The first reason is because not everybody can finish their homework in the second self study period. There are numerous statistics to show this is true. One of the statistic is that 8 out of 10 kids answered their survey saying "Need more time" by the first week of this camp.

If you are going through this camp, you know how much homework you get a week. You get more homework if you are in a higher class. Have you ever thought of those students sleeping when they were supposed to have fun? They can't even concentrate during classes. The second statistic says that 99% have used the bathroom lights to finish their homework. This shows that 99% of the students don't finish their homework just during the second self study period. From my personal experience, I used the bathroom light to finish my debate preparation, i got caught by the Head PA and told to go to bed right away. i made my team lose fore the debate we did on the next day. This perfectly proves the statistics and support my opinion.

  The second reason is because you can get hurt when it's dark. There are facts to support to show this is true. In the dormitories, all of the students' beds are double-deck beds. 

If the students wants to go to sleep, they have to climb up the stairs. But the lights are off and your eyes are not used to the darkness, this might cause some serious injuries. Some students might be able to put the foot into the air and fall off from the stairs. What would their parents say about this "accident"? The second fact is that the students can bump their heads on the ceiling or the edge of  beds. Because we have double-deck beds, it is possible for the students to get seriously injured. If you bump your head into the edge of the beds, the students' soft scalps might get cut. Think on the parents' perspectives. Who would want to send their kids to this kind of camp?

  The final reason is because some people are scared of the darkness. There are datas to show this is true. It is now known that not every students are able to get over the fear in short period of time. So if you think students can learn how to get over their fear in a month, there are very low possibilities to achieve that goal. Second data is that students feel uncomfortable during sleep, especially kids who are scared of darkness. Those students have some kind of disability and they have to be cared by other students and teachers. Parents will call all the teachers and protest to the teachers. Also, in the camps or schools, it is the teachers' responsibility to take care of all the students. At least, try to take care. If they do nothing about it, teachers are failing their responsibility.

  As you can see, we strongly should have more time with our lights on. Based on my arguments, i hope you will consider my point of view. Please think on the parents' side and think about all the students' health.

The High School Romance

"Please be careful when you visit somewhere and study for yourselves. Now, you can all go home. Enjoy the vacation!" 

Finally, the long, boring speech from principal has ended. It's all my time now! I can't wait to sleep until lunch and go playing with my friends. When i lost my spirit thinking about how much I liked winter vacation, everybody else was gathering their belongings to go home. I took everything with me because i will be going up to 2nd grade and not coming back to 1-7 class again. "Jane!" I heard my friend, Noah, crying out my name. Noah had been my friend for 7 years. She knows everything about me. "Wait a second! I'm ready!" While walking down the streets, Noah and I saw a guy about our age. i was wondering who he was because that boy was so handsome. At that same moment, i tumbled over a big rock. I dropped all of my books and got a hole in my stocking. When I looked at the handsome boy, he wasn't there but, instead, he was in front of me saying "Are you okay? Your knee is bleeding." I was so embarrassed I couldn't even say anything. He was just staring at me, stood up and went into the convenience store. What he had in his hands was a new pair of stocking and bandage. He just gave me all of those things and left. Not giving me any time to say even "Thank you" or ask his name.
 <First Day of School>
"Everybody sit down! I'm your homeroom teacher for the year. And we have a transfer student. Come on in!" When I looked at the door, I was so surprised. He was that guy who bought me a new stocking. He and I had few second of eye contact.

After that, he introduced himself as Nathan and he's from America. 'This must be DESTINY!' I thought. The bell rang after he introduced himself. Everyone in my class was gathering around Nathan, asking questions. I wanted to join the group but I was scared because he might recognize me... Finally, it was time to go home. I was going to home and in front of me, I saw Nathan. I thought 'Since we're in the same class, I need to say something. At least a hi.' So I walked fast to keep up with him. God, he has such pretty side face, it made my heart pound. "Hey, Nathan." "Umm... Who are you?" "Sorry, I'm your classmate, Jane." "Oh, sorry for not knowing. Are you going home?" "Yeah, I'm almost there. How about you?" "Me, too." "Really?" "Yeah, why?" "Because I never saw someone who lives around here." "Ahh, then you go alone everyday?" "Most of the times, yes. Hey, I arrived at my place. Bye, Nathan." "Okay, bye." When I got into my room, I flew into my bed and screamed for joy. I guess i like him....
<Day after>
Today, I was looking forward to going to school. I was thinking that I might be able to see Nathan. After getting ready, I went outside, and guess who I saw. It was Nathan. "Hey, Jane. I was waiting for you because I don't know the way to school well. I don't want to get lost." "Okay, I'll tell you. Let's go." On my way to school, 10 minutes felt like a minute. Everybody was shocked when they saw us entering together. Some girls started to whisper. And soon, there was a rumor that Nathan and I were going out. I couldn't say anything because I didn't know what Nathan was thinking. By the time the school ended, every second graders knew about it. Because of this rumor, I thought Nathan wouldn't come to me. But he came to me smiling. So, we were going home together for few more days. And we got much closer. But suddenly, Nathan didn't come to me. He even avoided me when I called him. I was really confused of his actions because I didn't know the reason why. "Rrrrr" There was text message from unknown person which said "Nathan is mine."

As soon as I saw it, I installed an app to track down who that is. "Rrrr" Text, again! My app said its real number is 010-2485-1311. I called that number and found out that Noah sent the message.... We promised to meet after school tomorrow.

"The Princess Bride"

During last week's first study period, class 15 to 20 watched a movie called "The Princess Bride"

This movie was made in 1987 and directed by Rob Reiner. UK and Ireland was the place where it was filmed. Both such beautiful places! When I heard about the time it was made, I was really shocked. I mean, 1980s movie doesn't sound interesting. Don't you think so?The 2 main characters' name were Buttercup and Westley. And the whole movie was about how Westley saved Buttercup from King Humpurdinck. 

They had risks in Fire Swamp or the Lightning Sand. But the power of love had overcome everything. In my opinions, I would have liked it better if there were some changes made in the movie, like making the fight with villains more realistic. Anything beside this, I pretty much enjoyed the movie. Romance was romantic, the male character was okay, and there was a happy ending. As expected, Westley had defeated all the villains. Well, now let me tell you about the unexpected part.

Before getting information, you need a background information on what was in the movie. I would like to categorize it to make it easier. First thing I want to talk about is the genre of this movie. It is romance comedy movie which, personally, is my favorite. There were some romantic parts for the girls to say "Awww". And for every body to laugh out loud. For example, saving Buttercup from Vizzini was romantic and Inigo keep on saying "Prepare to Die" was funny. Now, you might not be sure about who Vizzini is or Inigo is. Well, I'll tell you. As you already know, Buttercup is a heroine of the entire movie. She was acted by Robin Wright. Buttercup is a very brave girl who can push the kidnapper off from the cliff. Also, Buttercup loves Westley. Westley was used to be a farm boy working for Buttercup's house. After Buttercup was kidnapped, he climbed a cliff to rescue her. He came back for Buttercup because they were true love. People who kidnapped are Inigo, Fessik, and Vizzini. 

Vizzini and Westley use tricks to kill each other, in result, Vizzini dies. And at the end, Fessik and Inigo ed up helping Westley. King Humpurdinck has paid Vizzini, Fessik, and Inigo to kidnap Buttercup and dump her in the shores of Guilder to start a war with them. Since you know who were in the movie, it;s time to learn what happened. At first, there was a sick boy, his grandfather is telling him a story. This is how the movie starts. When Buttercup ask Westley to do a favor, all he say is "As you wish" which means I love you. So they fall in love. But few years later, Buttercup heard that Westley died. So she promise to marry King Humpurdinck. Before few days of wedding, Buttercup is kidnapped by 3 villains. Fessik, Inigo, and Vizzini. But there was a guy in black following them. After the guy rescued Buttercup, Buttercup finds out that the guy on black is Westley. So, they run away form King Humpurdinck. They got caught by the soldiers and Buttercup was sent back to the castle. Westley was captured and tortured even though King humpurdinck promised to let him go. king Humpurdinck suck up 50 years of his life and Fessik and Inigo comes and save him. A miracle had happened. At the castle, Inigo gets to have the revenge to 6 fingered man, who killed his father. In the bedroom, Westley tie King Humpurdinck into a chair and run away with Buttercup. Finally, they all live happily ever after.

Like every other movie, there are some parts that I don't like about the movie. For example, as I mentioned before, the part where Westley fight Fessik and Inigo was not good. Background didn't look realistic enough, the actions were so boring and they looked like they were fooling around. Another part i don't like is when Westley screams out "As you wish" while rolling from a hill. It really looked like they were rolling themselves and it looked so fake. Everything else, I pretty much liked it. I liked the sick boy in the intro. He was just cute when he was asking his grandpa to read more.

If there are changes made in the movie, i would give a 4.5 stars out of 5. 

                   But, there are some weakness which I don't like. 

I would give 3.5 stars out of 5. 

I recommend this movie for teenage girls just my age or some 1980s people to feel homesick. I'll come back next time with another writing. See you soon. Bye!
